Western Springs Cops Win Awards

WESTERN SPRINGS, IL — The Western Springs Police Department recently handed out its annual law enforcement awards, according to a Facebook post. Officer Michael Belcastro won the awards for Distracted Driving Enforcement and Railroad Enforcement. Sgt. Dean Harrison, who was promoted to his rank in December and has been with the department for a couple decades, also won the award for Railroad Enforcement. Sgt. John Piest, another longtime member of the department, took home awards for DUI and Speeding Enforcement. And Officer William Romanow was recognized with the award for Child Seat and Seat Belt Enforcement.
