Western Springs Fence Vandals Strike 9 Times: Police
Residential security camera catches suspects in one incident, police say.
WESTERN, SPRINGS, IL — Western Springs police are investigating nine reports of damage to fences since Valentine's Day. According to these reports, suspects have damaged sections of wooden or vinyl fences in several areas of town. The majority of these incidents occurred from 6:30 p.m. to midnight, police said.
In one incident, a residential security camera captured what appears to be young suspects who leave their cars, run up to the fence, and kick or break pickets from the fence. A video clip can be seen on the police department's Facebook page.
