Western Springs Fire Department Collects Items For Texas First Responders
Western Springs Fire Department will collect items until Oct. 3, before they send them to Texas.

WESTERN SPRINGS, IL — The Western Springs Fire Department is collecting supplies to send to Texas area first responders. The department said the donations collected will be directly transported to Victor Conley, Fire Chief, in Irving, Texas who will distribute to Chief Russell Wilson of the Katy Fire Department and neighboring departments as well.
Donations can be dropped off at the Western Springs Fire Department, South Fire Station #2, 5501 Grand Ave., Monday through Friday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. or Saturday and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., starting Sept. 18. Items will be collected until Oct. 3.
Some items needed include: waders, shovels, toilet paper, bath soap, windex, baby diapers/wipes, smoke detectors, deodorant, buckets, dog/cat foot, baby formula, garbage cans and first aid kits.
