Western Springs Gets New Garbage Company

WESTERN SPRINGS, IL — Western Springs is getting a new garbage hauler starting next month. The company, Lakeshore Recycling Services, will deliver new refuse and recycling carts to the parkway, near each residence, from Monday through Friday next week. If you will not be home during those days to receive your card, call Lakeshore at 773-685-8811 to make arrangements.

Residents should begin using their carts starting Jan. 2. The first collection will be delayed one day because of New Year's. Regular service will resume Jan. 7.

Residents' service days may remain Tuesday or Friday. However, the collection day for many households may change. See the Lakeshore service map, which was revised in December, to confirm your collection day. To learn more about the new refuse and recycling program, go to Lakeshore's website.
