Western Springs Holds Annual Household Clean-Up Day
Western Springs is holding its annual spring clean-up day for all homes in the village on Saturday, May 20.

WESTERN SPRINGS, IL - Western Springs is holding its annual spring clean-up day for all homes in the village on Saturday, May 20. This event allows residents to dispose of an unlimited amount of household items.
The village holds this event every May, and according to a release, items may be placed at the curb after 6 p.m. Friday, May 19 and no later than 6 a.m. May 20.
Acceptable items include: household items, bulk items (furniture, bicycles), large appliances, carpet (must be cut down to four feet in length, securely bundled and no more than 60 pounds in weight), clothing and draperies.

Non-acceptable items include: household garbage, construction and demolition debris, scrap wood, lumber, railroad ties, electronic items (televisions, computers, monitors, printers), concrete, asphalt rocks, bricks, lawn mowers, snow blowers, boats, snow mobiles, old paint (oil or latex), car parts, tires, vehicle batteries, motor oil or other liquids, ammunition or explosives, radioactive materials and yardwaste.
