Western Springs Holds Fire Department Open House

There will be several activities including a firefighter challenge course for kids, where they can earn their helmet shield.

WESTERN SPRINGS, IL — The Western Springs Fire Department will hold a fire prevention open house on Monday, Oct. 8 from 6 to 8:30 p.m. According to the department, there will be several activities including a firefighter challenge course for kids, where they can earn their helmet shield.

There will also be rides on a fire engine, a chance to slide down the fire pole, and a visit from Sparky the Fire Dog. Guests can also learn about fire prevention, the emergency medical equipment the department has and more.

The open house will be held at the department headquarters located at 4353 Wolf Road.
