Western Springs Holds School Supply Drive, Backpack Stuffing Event

WESTERN SPRINGS, IL — A school supply drive and backpack stuffing event will be held for the Pillars Head Start program. According to the park district website, the event is presented by the village club, Rotary Club of Western Springs and Western Springs Park District.

Items needed include: pencils, erasers, rulers, crayons, markers, water bottles, glue, paper, small scissors, kleenex, paper towels and backpacks. Items will be accepted through Sunday, Aug. 13 at Western Springs Park District, 4400 Central Ave.; Village Rec Center, 1500 Walker St.; and Village Grand Avenue Center, 4211 Grand Ave.

The backpack stuffing event will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. Aug. 13 at the village club, according to the park district website.
