Western Springs Holds Spelling Bee

WESTERN SPRINGS, IL — Spellers of all ages can come out to the Western Springs Recreation Spelling Bee on Thursday, July 13. According to a release from the village, ages 5-99 can participate in the Bee at the Grand Avenue Community Center, 4211 Grand Ave.

The event is free, but a suggested donation of $10 or more would benefit The Honeybee Conservancy and the Gurrie Middle School Bee Project. According to the release, participants are limited to a maximum of 30 and spectators are limited to the first 100.

You can preregister online or register at the door starting at 6:30 p.m. if the maximum has not been reached. The Bee begins at 7 p.m.
