Western Springs Hosts Historical House Walk
The Western Springs Historical Society will host a house walk from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, May 21.

WESTERN SPRINGS, IL β Later this month, residents of Western Springs will be able to celebrate the history of the community and also gather some design inspiration. The Western Springs Historical Society will host a house walk from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, May 21.
βWe are thrilled with the variety of architectural styles on this yearβs Walk,β said Laurel Schumm, Event Co-Chair in a release. βThe generosity of our homeowners is much appreciated by the Historical Society. We canβt wait to unveil the dramatic homes featured on this yearβs fundraiser.β
This yearβs six homes cover five areas of Western Springs: 1000 Maple and 4359 Woodland in Old Town; 3941 Clausen in Field Park; 4607 Harvey in Ridge Acres; 5048 Woodland in Forest Hills; and 658 Courtland Circle in Springdale.

For those interested in attending, tickets are $35 in advance and $45 on the day of, and are available at Clever Girl, the Thomas Ford Memorial Library, the Water Tower (Saturday mornings only) and on the historical society's website.
Tickets are available online at Historical Society website. All proceeds benefit the Western Springs Historical Society, an all-volunteer organization dedicated to instilling an appreciation of the village's history in residents of all ages. According to a release, proceeds from the event will fund the Societyβs operating budget, as well as help develop exhibits for the Ekdahl House and the Tower Museum, and provide programs and archival materials for residents.
