Western Springs Named 4th Safest City In Illinois: Report
Western Springs has been named the fourth safest community in Illinois.
WESTERN SPRINGS, IL — A report from Safewise, a website that provides safety rankings for towns across the country, has named Western Springs the fourth safest community in Illinois. Safewise released its safest cities report on Monday, noting that the average violent crime rate among the Illinois list was 86 percent lower than the national average. And several towns — Inverness, Gilberts, Spring Grove, and Palos Heights — reported no violent crime at all.
According to the website, Western Springs moved up from its previous rank of 7. There are 0.07 violent crimes per 1,000 and 3.14 property crimes per 1,000.
