Western Springs Official May Get Contract Change

The board is also set to vote on a new contract with the Teamsters.

WESTERN SPRINGS, IL – The Western Springs Village Board on Monday is set to vote on a change to the contract for Village Manager Ellen Baer.

The board's agenda does not indicate what type of change is proposed. But if last year is any indication, Baer may be in line for a raise.

Last November, the board approved a 3 percent increase for Baer, to $169,950. It was retroactive to Sept. 27, 2022, the first anniversary of her appointment as manager.

She is now in the third year of a four-year contract.

Before becoming manager, Baer was the village's director of administrative services for four years.

Also at Monday's meeting, the board plans to vote on a new contract with Teamsters Local 700. The contract would last through March 2026.

The board's agenda included no information about the agreement.
