Western Springs Police Chief Brian Budds recently completed a selective three-week Senior Executives in State and Local Government program.

WESTERN SPRINGS, IL β Western Springs Police Chief Brian Budds recently completed a selective three-week Senior Executives in State and Local Government program at the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University, according to a release from the department.
Key topics of the program included leadership, negotiations, public/private partnerships, cooperative governance, and behavioral decision making, according to the release. Other participants in the program included various elected state and county officials, city managers, social services administrators, police and fire chiefs, stateβs attorneys, along with other worldwide government executives.
According to the release, the Senior Executives in State and Local Government program provides a balance of traditional and hands-on learning experiences to help seasoned public officials meet the changing needs of their constituents and communities.
