Western Springs Police Reports: Defacement, Burglary, Theft
Western Springs Police Department provided crime and arrest information through June 9.

Someone reportedly stole a message board sign June 1 between 9:30 and 11 p.m. from in front of a business in the 1000 block of Hillgrove Avenue, according to Western Springs police. The sign measured 4 feet by 2 feet. The stolen sign was valued at approximately $300.
Someone defaced the roof of a picnic shelter with white spray paint between May 28 and 29 at Springdale Park, according to Western Springs.

Someone entered an unlocked detached residential garage between June 3 and 4 in the 4600 block of Lawn Avenue, according to Western Springs police. A men’s bicycle valued at $500 was stolen.
Oscar Romero, age 20 of the 4200 block of Forest Avenue, Brookfield, was stopped June 5 at Ogden Avenue and Wolf Road for making an improper U-turn, according to Western Springs police. He was arrested for driving with a suspended license.
