Western Springs Police Reports: Theft, Burglary, Fraud

Someone used a victim’s personal information June 9 to sign up for a store credit card and make fraudulent retail purchases at a mall, according to Western Springs police. The purchases totaled $1,785.86.
Someone stole an iPhone between 1 and 6:30 p.m. June 13 from an unsecured locker at Lyons Township High School, according to Western Springs police. The phone was valued at about $450.

Someone reportedly stole two women’s rings between 4:10 and 5 p.m. June 14 that were left unattended at LA Tan in Garden Market, according to Western Springs police. The rings were valued at more than $14,000.
A burglar reportedly forced into two separate utility/equipment trailers between June 15 and 16 at a residential construction site in the 1100 block of White Pine Lane, according to Western Springs police. Nothing was reported missing from the first trailer, but the second trailer was missing about 50 spools of multicolor wire, valued at $3,000, and LED strip lighting rolls, valued at $1,000.

Andrew J. Lynch, age 29 of the 1200 block of Newberry, La Grange Park, was arrested and issued a local ordinance citation June 14 after police were called to Mariano’s at 4700 Gilbert Avenue for a reported retail theft, according to Western Springs police. Lynch tried to take a container of whiskey valued at less than $50, police reported.
