Western Springs Police Reports: Underage Drinking, Theft

Western Springs Police Department provided crime and arrest information through July 13.

Someone reportedly took $800-worth of copper wire between July 2 and 6 from a job site in the 1100 block of Chestnut Street, according to Western Springs police.

A Western Springs resident reported someone stole about $1,600-worth of items during a move between June 22 and July 10 from the 3900 block of Clausen Avenue, according to Western Springs police.

Two 15-year-old boys, one of Hinsdale and one of Darien, were found to be out after curfew and in possession of alcohol and tobacco at 1:29 a.m. July 8 in the 5400 block of Wolf Road, according to Western Springs police. They were charged with possession of alcohol by a minor and curfew.

A Western Springs teenager was found to have drank alcohol on July 11 at 1:22 a.m. in the church parking lot at 5005 Wolf Road, according to Western springs police. He was charged with consumption of alcohol by a minor.
