Western Springs Rotary Club Event for Veterans and First Responders
Western Springs, IL – The Rotary Club of Western Springs held its annual Veterans' Steak Fry on September 5th.

The purpose of the event is to recognize local veterans and first responders in the community and honor them for their service and dedication.
Rotary members originally planned to hold the event outdoors on the Tower Green in downtown Western Springs. However, due to weather conditions, the event was moved indoors to the Western Springs Baptist Church. Despite threatening weather, Rotarians were able to serve lunch to over 170 people and were pleased to donate 15 lunch tickets to local veterans, who are residents of Bethlehem Woods Retirement Community in La Grange Park. Bridget Fogarty, Marketing Representative for Bethlehem Woods Retirement Community, arranged for residents who have served our country’s military to attend. The Rotary Club of Western Springs is an organization dedicated to “service above self” within the community. For more information about their organization, please contact Jason Dobrzynski, Rotary Club Secretary at (630) 696-2928 or jasondobr@sbcglobal.net. Bethlehem Woods Retirement Community is located in La Grange Park and is sponsored by the Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth and the Sisters of the Resurrection.
