Western Springs Stabbing Results In Arrest
Local man is charged with aggravated battery in incident.

WESTERN SPRINGS, IL — A Western Springs man is accused of stabbing another man with a knife Sunday in a residence.
About 1 a.m., Western Springs police were called about a disturbance involving intoxicated people in an apartment in the 4400 block of Gilbert Avenue. Anthony E. Greek, 29, was arrested on a charge of aggravated battery, according to a police news release.
The 35-year-old victim was taken by ambulance to the hospital in La Grange, where he was treated for deep cuts on his thumb and scalp, police said. The fight was the result of an argument between the two people, who are acquaintances, the release said.
