Western Springs Woman Accused Of Domestic Violence

Suspect is arrested after police respond to two disturbances, report says.

WESTERN SPRINGS, IL — The Western Springs Police Departments released its latest blotter. Here is information from the reports:

Arrests

  • Alise G. Topps, 40, of Western Springs, was arrested shortly before 8 a.m. Friday in the 5500 block of Heritage Court on charges of domestic violence and criminal damage to property. She was arrested after two domestic disturbances, according to a police report.
  • Andres A. Garcia, 22, of La Grange, was arrested about 10 p.m. Sept. 23 at 47th Street and Gilbert Avenue on charges of DUI and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident. According to a police report, Garcia's car struck another.
  • Lamar B. Johnson, 31, of Worth, was arrested shortly after 1 a.m. Thursday in the 4700 block of Grand Avenue on a charge of DUI. He was detained after a report of a car parked in front of a house.

Theft

  • A campaign sign for Joe Biden was reported stolen from a front yard Sept. 22 in the 5400 block of Grand Avenue.
  • A laptop computer valued at $1,500 was stolen from an unlocked car between the night of Sept. 18 and the morning of Sept. 20 in the 5900 block of Timber Trails Boulevard. The suspect went through a possibly open garage door.
  • A child's Thomas the Tank Engine motorized ride-on cart was stolen Tuesday in the 4100 block of Wolf Road while it was left on the sidewalk in front of a house.

Hit-and-run

  • A car parked in the street in the 4000 block of Central Avenue was hit by another car Thursday. A neighbor witnessed a car back out of a driveway, strike a car and continue driving.
