NW Side Man Charged In Unwanted Kissing Of Girl, 6, In Logan Square

Noe Moreno, 43, was charged with aggravated criminal sexual abuse in the alleged incident at a grocery store earlier this month.

CHICAGO, IL — A Northwest Side man faces sex abuse charges after he was accused of molesting a 6-year-old girl in a Logan Square grocery store earlier this month, according to Chicago police. Noe Moreno, 43, of the 2200 block of North Narragansett Avenue in the Galewood neighborhood, was charged Friday with felony aggravated criminal sexual abuse of a victim younger than 9 years old in the alleged incident.

According to police, the girl was approached by Moreno at around 9:30 p.m. April 15, at a store in the 3900 block of West Diversey Avenue. Moreno motioned to the victim and allegedly kissed her on the cheek with his mouth, police said. He then allegedly grabbed the girl's hand and allegedly put it into his pants pocket, according to police. A relative who accompanied the girl to the store confronted Moreno, who then fled on foot.

A community alert that included security camera footage of Moreno was released by police Thursday, and he was identified as the suspect who allegedly kissed the victim. Police arrested Moreno at 8:15 p.m. Friday, April 22, in the 2600 block of North Milwaukee Avenue.
