2 Cars Burglarized In Wheaton In Mid-September: Cops

Police say one car was locked and the other car was unlocked at the time of the burglaries.

WHEATON, IL — Police in Wheaton are investigating two car burglaries that took place within days of one another in mid-September. One burglary was to an unlocked car and the other was committed on a locked car.

Car Burglary in 1000 block of Coolidge Avenue

Police say a locked car was burglarized sometime between 5:30 p.m. on Sept. 14 and 7:30 a.m. on Sept. 15 while it was parked in a driveway. The car was rifled through and change was stolen, according to a police report.

Car Burglary in 400 block of north President Street

A resident told police that their unlocked car was burglarized sometime between 1:30 p.m. and 1:58 p.m. on Sept. 16 while it was parked at Bethany Chapel. A lunch bag, cash and a cellphone were reported stolen.
