2 Charged In Carjacking At Rathje Park In Wheaton
Police say the incident took place Nov. 11.

WHEATON, IL — Two people are in custody after a carjacking that was reported in Wheaton Nov. 11.
Nathaniel Coorsen, 34, formerly of Rolling Meadows, was charged with vehicular hijacking, robbery, aggravated battery with serious injury, and aggravated battery in a public place. Lindsay Brei, 35, formerly of Mount Prospect, was charged with vehicular hijacking and robbery in connection with the incident.
Police say a 49-year-old man from Marengo had arranged to buy methamphetamine from Coorsen and Brei at Rathje Park, 616 S. Delles. When the man got to the scene, police say Coorsen punched him several times in the face before stealing debit cards from his wallet.

The pair then stole the man's car, according to police.
After an investigation, the car was found at a Motel 6 in Rolling Meadows and Coorsen and Brei were taken into custody.
