3 Cars Burglarized In Wheaton After Being Left Unlocked: Police
Wheaton police say the burglaries took place around the same time within a few days of each other.

WHEATON, IL -- Wheaton Police are investigating three car burglaries that took place within days of each other. The burglaries were reported between April 29 and May 1 and the vehicles had been left unlocked in each of the incidents, police say.
On April 29, a wallet, cash, an iPod, and a watch were stolen from two unlocked vehicles while they were parked in an unlocked garage in the first block of Hawkins Circle. Police say the burglaries happened sometime between 9 p.m. and 11:22 p.m.
The second burglary took place in the driveway of a home in the 1800 block of Challenger Court on May 1. The victim told police that someone stole a purse from their unlocked car sometime between 9 p.m. and 10:54 p.m.

To help prevent burglaries, resident are urged to keep their cars and garages locked and to keep keys and other valuables out of sight.
