5 Cars Burglarized In Wheaton In 3 Days
Police say all the cars had been left unlocked.
WHEATON, IL — Police in Wheaton are investigating a string of car burglaries that took place within days of each other. Five cars were burglarized between Sept. 11 and Sept. 13, according to a recent police summary.
Police say the first burglary took place on Sept. 11 in the 200 block of West Front Street. The victim told police that someone got into their unlocked vehicle and stole an Apple iPhone cord, wireless headphones, and a pair of sunglasses.
On Sept. 13, three cars were burglarized in a driveway in the 600 block of Robinwood Court. Police say all three of the cars had been left unlocked. The victim reported that cars had been rummaged through and a pair of prescription sunglasses was stolen.

A car was burglarized in the 600 block of Crescent Avenue sometime between 9:30 p.m. on Sept. 12 and 10:30 a.m. on Sept. 13. According to police, the suspect or suspects stole a GPS system, a pack of cigarettes, and some change from the car, which had been left unlocked.
