5 Catalytic Converters Stolen, Car Burglarized: Wheaton Crime Blotter
Five catalytic converters were stolen and a car was burglarized in a driveway, according to Wheaton's most recent crime blotter.

WHEATON, IL — Five catalytic converters were stolen, a car was burglarized and other crimes were reported on Wheaton's most recent crime blotter. Four of the catalytic converters were stolen from local businesses, according to police.
Car Burglarized in 1200 Block of Fisher Street
Police say a car was burglarized while it was parked in a driveway in the 1200 block of Fisher Street on April 25. The victim told police that around 10:30 a.m., someone went into their car and started it with the keys that had been left inside.

Two Catalytic Converters Stolen at J and C Central
A catalytic converter was cut from a Range Rover that was parked in the lot at J and C Central, 420 S. Main St. The incident took place sometime between 6 p.m. on April 26 and 7:30 a.m. on April 27.

Another catalytic converter was removed from a Honda Odyssey and stolen between 6 p.m. on April 27 and 8 a.m. on April 28.
Catalytic Converter Stolen at DeVries Cleaners
Police say someone stole a catalytic converter from a Chevy City Express van that was parked at DeVries Cleaners, 147 Danada Square East. The catalytic converter was stolen sometime between 6 p.m. on April 26 and 7:30 a.m. on April 27.
Catalytic Converter Stolen at Planet Fitness
A catalytic converter was stolen from a Toyota Prius while it was parked in the lot at Planet Fitness, 1780 S. Blanchard St. The item was stolen sometime between 4 a.m. and 5 a.m. on April 27.
Catalytic Converter Stolen in 600 block of Harrison Avenue
Police say a catalytic converter was cut from a Honda Element that was parked in a lot in the 600 block of Harrison Avenue sometime between April 27 and April 29.
Attempted Catalytic Converter Theft in 500 block of East Franklin Street
A resident told police they returned to their house in the 500 block of East Franklin Street and saw two men trying to remove a catalytic converter from a Toyota Prius that had been jacked up.
