5 Chainsaws Stolen From Work Trucks In Wheaton: Cops

The chainsaws were stolen while the work trucks were briefly left unattended, police say.

WHEATON, IL — Wheaton police are investigating an incident in which five chainsaws were stolen from a pair of work trucks. The vehicle burglaries were reported on July 25 in the 100 block of Muirfield Cir., according to a police summary.

Police say the trucks had been left unattended around 2:15 p.m. when the chainsaws were stolen.

Another similar incident was reported on July 26 in the 300 block of E. Seminary Ave. The victim of that incident told police they had left their work truck briefly unattended. When they returned just before 11 a.m., they noticed that a Stihl backpack leaf blower had been stolen from the vehicle.
