WHEATON, IL — A Lombard couple who went missing after being accused of using charitable funds for personal benefit was found in Daytona Beach, Florida, and extradited back to Wheaton. Police began their search for Todd and Patricia Olshefski in late September 2019. The couple was arrested in Florida as fugitives from justice on November 8.

The Olshefskis were first arrested in May in a Lombard hotel after charges emerged that accused the couple of misusing charitable funds from Veteran's Christian Network (VCN). They were later released, but Todd Olshefski missed a court date, which led police to do a public search for him and Patricia Olshefski.

Police say the Olshefskis remained in a Florida penitentiary while the extradition was being processed. They got back into Illinois on Jan. 17, 2020 and were both transferred to DuPage County Jail.
