• Vape Shop Robbery, Walgreens Retail Theft: Wheaton Crime Blotter (patch.com) — Wheaton residents are being alerted to several recent police reports, including a retail theft at the Walgreens on North Main Street and a robbery at the Smokehaus vape shop on South County Farm Road. Additional incidents include criminal damage to a garage door on Buckingham Drive and a package theft on Wheaton Court, with police seeking tips from the public.
   

• Wheaton reports 1 scam for week ending Aug. 15, 2026 (dupagepolicyjournal.com) — Wheaton logged just one scam report with the Better Business Bureau for the week ending Aug. 15, but that single case still cost a resident over $300. The BBB urges locals to use its Scam Tracker tool to research suspicious contacts and share experiences to help neighbors avoid similar losses.
