Wyndemere Walks the Walk to End Alzheimer’s

Residents and staff of Wyndemere Senior Living Community raised a robust $8307 in their first year of participation in the Walk to End Alzheimer’s.  George Egbert, Wyndemere resident, spearheaded the effort at the senior living community, recruiting dozens of residents and staff to walk and raise funds for the nation's largest event to support Alzheimer care, support and research. “The strength and compassion of our community truly shone throughout our months of preparation for this vital cause,” said Peggi Semmens, marketing coordinator for Westbridge, the assisted living component of the Wyndemere community. “From root beer float fundraising parties to gentle but persistent encouragement to join the team walk, our residents’ efforts were extraordinary.  We’re all proud to be part of this engaged, caring community of seniors.”  Watch the Wyndemere walkers’ video at  www.youtube.com/WyndemereLCS.
