Art And Music Party To Celebrate All Things Warhol In Wheaton

WHEATON, IL — Live painting, musical acts, Andy Warhol impersonators and more will create a colorful celebration at the Warhol Birthday Party Aug. 5 in Wheaton. The free party ties into College of DuPage's ongoing Andy Warhol Portfolios: A Life in Pop exhibit.

Andy Warhol was born Aug. 6, 1928.

The festivities also include a silk-screening booth. Party goers are encouraged to watch live silk-screening demonstrations, view a Warhol-inspired mural created by Wheaton College students and track down the colorfully painted fire hydrants throughout the city.

The musical lineup is as follows:

  • 10 a.m.: Trevor Hill's Beyond Standard
  • 12 p.m.: Paul Abella's Questionable Decisions

Wheaton's Warhol Birthday Party will take place at Liberty Drive Plaza, which is located just east of Main Street.
