Making The Transition
Nazos had an emotional farewell with his Wheaton players at 10:30 a.m. Thursday. Then he met his Batavia players at 1 p.m. later that day.
Nazos is jumping right into the new coaching gig. He will be at the Geneva Summer League basketball playoffs on Monday observing his team.
Expectations will be high for Nazos, who takes the reins from Hall of Fame Coach Jim Roberts. After 27 as coach, due to family health concerns.
"My goal is to carry on the tradition that has been set before me," Nazos said. "The plan is that there's going to be some changes ... but like anywhere else, base on a foundation of hard work and solid discipline, building young boys into men. You want to build winning kids."
