Bike, Sign, Sheet Metal Stolen In Wheaton: Cops
Police say five burglaries and thefts took place within just a few days.

WHEATON, IL — Police in Wheaton are investigating several thefts in which personal items including a bike and 100 pounds of sheet metal were stolen from residences. The thefts took place between March 6 and March 9, according to police.
March 6
1400 block of Mayo Ave.

Police say a miter saw was stolen from an unlocked garage that had been left open in the 1400 block of Mayo Ave.

Ashburn/Heritage Lake
Residents told police that a sign was stolen from a "common grassy area" in the neighborhood. The theft was discovered around 7:30 a.m., police say.
1700 block of E. Roosevelt Rd.
According to police, an unsecured silver and green Breezer bike was taken from a home in the 1700 block of E. Roosevelt just before 9:30 p.m.
March 8
1200 block of S. Naperville Rd.
The victim told police that slabs of sheet metal had been stolen from their private driveway sometime between 12 p.m. an4 p.m. The total weight of the stolen sheet metal was 100 pounds, according to police.
March 9
900 block of S. Wheaton
A resident told police their license plate had been stolen from their vehicle at around 12:15 p.m.
