Who is ready for the rain to go away?

A dreary forecast is expected over the next day with the bulk of the continuing rainfall expected today and tonight. Some areas in northern Illinois are expected to get between 1.5 and three inches of total rain through Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service.

Some of the rain Tuesday afternoon will become moderate to heavy with a few chances of thunderstorms possible, which will increase the rainfall rates. A break in the steadier rain is expected late this afternoon through this evening. But, the rain will pick back up in coverage and intensity later tonight and early into Wednesday morning, according to the NWS.
