Burglar Cuts Window Screen, Enters Wheaton Home: Cops

WHEATON, IL — Police in Wheaton are investigating a residential burglary in which a suspect crawled in through a window to gain access to an apartment. According to police, the burglary was reported on Sept. 26 in the 500 block of Crescent.

The victim told police that the incident took place just before 2 a.m. Police say someone cut the screen on their outside window and crawled into the home. A police summary indicates that the suspect may have fled the scene.

The police summary did not indicate whether any items were taken during the burglary. Wheaton Police did not immediately respond to a request for more information Friday afternoon.
