Burglaries Target Medical Offices In Wheaton: Crime Blotter
A law office was also burglarized during the recent crime spree, which police are calling "crimes of opportunity or convenience."

WHEATON, IL — A string of burglaries has targeted medical offices and law offices throughout Wheaton. The burglaries, which took place between July 9 and July 14, involved a burglar or burglars rifling through drawers and removing valuable items, according to a recent crime blotter.
Wheaton Police Chief William Murphy told Patch detectives are investigating a suspect who may be linked to the burglaries, which Murphy called "crimes of opportunity or convenience."
Murphy said it appears the suspect is "exploiting unsecured locations." He advises business owners that "[s]ecuring their businesses remains the best practice to prevent unwanted entry into their premises."

DuPage Medical Group Office Burglarized

Police say someone burglarized a DuPage Medical Group Office at 199 Town Sq. sometime between July 9 and July 12. It was reported that drawers had been rummaged through and a dermatoscope was taken.
Wheaton Internal Medicine Office Burglarized
Dexcom glucose readers and sensors were stolen after someone went through drawers inside a Wheaton Internal Medicine Office at 7 Blanchard Cir. The incident took place between July 9 and July 12.
Northwestern Medicine Endocrinology Offices Burglarized
Multiple offices were burglarized at Northwestern Medicine Endocrinology, 7 Blanchard Cir. Police say burglars went through cabinets and drawers during the incidents, which took place between July 9 and July 12.
Alliance Clinical Associates Office Burglarized
Police say an Apple iPod Touch was stolen when "several" cabinets and drawers were rifled through at Alliance Clinical Associates, 7 Blanchard Cir., according to a recent crime blotter. The burglary took place between 4 p.m. July 9 and 1:45 p.m. July 10.
Law Office Burglarized On County Farm Road
Police say someone burglarized a law office in the 300 block of County Farm Road and searched through desk drawers. The incident took place sometime between 6 p.m. July 13 and 8 a.m. July 14.
