Burglars Break Into Home In Wheaton: Police

The burglars forced open the back door and stole jewelry and other items.

WHEATON, IL --- The Wheaton Police Department is investigating a burglary that took place on the city's southwest side. The home, which is located in the 1400 block of Creekside Drive, was broken into on Dec. 14, according to a police summary.

The burglar(s) apparently got into the home by forcing open the back door sometime between 6:40 p.m. and 9:30 p.m.. Once inside, they stole "numerous items" that included several pieces of jewelry and personal documents.
