Piano Recital with Happy Dog Duo

The piano program of the Wheaton College Conservatory of Music is pleased to present Happy Dog Duo in a recital of music for two pianists on Friday, September 25, 2026, at 4 p.m. in the Armerding Concert Hall.  The program is free and open to the public;  no tickets are required.

The prize-winning Happy Dog Duo delights audiences with an infectiously witty stage manner, an engaging performance style, and a commitment to presenting an appealing mix of music combining the classics and accessible new works, some of which they compose themselves.  Pianists Eric Tran and Nathan Cheung both attended Stanford University.  Eric lives in Madison, Wisconsin, where he earned his doctorate at the University of Wisconsin - Madison;  Nathan earned his doctorate from Eastman and is based in Nashville.  

Their Wheaton program will include works by Happy Dog Duo, Olivier Messiaen, Argentine composer Carlos Guastavino, Ravel, Mozart, and Frederic Rzewski.
