Befriending Wilderness: Dwelling In The In-Between Exhibition Reception

The Art Department at Wheaton College presents "Befriending Wilderness: Dwelling In The In-Between Exhibition Reception," a special event by Wheaton College Alumni, Faculty, and Emeriti on Saturday, October 3, 2026 at 5:00 PM.

What does it mean as an artist to pass through seasons of confusion, disorientation, or despair? Wheaton College Alumni and Faculty take up this question, using “wilderness” not simply as a description of landscape but as a metaphor for the disorienting passages that mark a creative life. Please join the Art Department and participating artists for light refreshments and reception for the Befriending Wilderness Exhibition in the Walford Galleries.
