Candle Sparks Fire In Wheaton Home: Fire Department
Wheaton fire officials say no one was injured in the blaze.
WHEATON, IL — Wheaton fire officials say a candle was likely responsible for a blaze that broke out in a home in the 3000 block of Danada Drive Wednesday afternoon.
When fire crews got to the scene, they say the blaze was on the second floor of the single-family home. All of the residents were able to get out without being injured, officials said.
After an investigation, Wheaton Fire Department officials determined the fire was accidental and likely caused by a candle. The home was returned back to the occupants after the blaze was extinguished and the building was deemed safe to re-enter.
