Car Stolen From Driveway On Wadsworth In Wheaton
The theft took place after a string of car burglaries was reported on Wheaton's south side.
WHEATON, IL — A car was stolen from a driveway on Wadsworth in Wheaton, just days after a string of vehicle burglaries was reported on the city's south side.
The victim told police they parked their Hyundai Santa Fe outside of their home in the 1600 block of Wadsworth Road around 5 p.m. on May 2. When they returned to the car around 4:30 a.m., they noticed it had been stolen, a police blotter said.
The car had been unlocked with its keys inside, according to police.

During a similar timeframe between May 2 and May 3, two unlocked cars were burglarized in the 1900 block of Brentwood Lane East. These incidents come after six cars were burglarized between April 24 and April 25.
