WHEATON, IL — Wheaton police are investigating a report of a car window that was smashed in a store parking lot, in addition to two retail thefts and other crimes, according to the city's police blotter from the end of January and through the first week of February.

Car Window Smashed in Parking Lot of PetSmart

A driver told police that someone smashed the back window of their car while it was parked in the lot outside of PetSmart, 63 Rice Lake Square. The incident took place sometime between 8 a.m. and 3:25 p.m. on Feb. 5, according to the crime blotter.

Items Stolen from Ulta Store

Four people were seen taking merchandise from the Ulta store at 112 Danada Square West and leaving without paying for the items. The retail theft was reported at 3:25 p.m. on Feb. 1.

Items Stolen from Target Store

Police say a man and a woman filled two shopping carts with items and then left the Target store at 601 S. County Farm Rd. without paying. The incident happened around 6:44 p.m. on Feb. 2.

Property Defaced at Wheaton Train Station

Someone scraped graffiti into a metal door frame and put graffiti on a wall inside the Wheaton Metra station at 402 W. Front St. Police say the defacement happened between 6 p.m. on Jan. 26 and 10 a.m. on Jan. 27.
