Carol Stream Man Charged With Possession Of Child Pornography

CAROL STREAM, IL — A Carol Stream man faces child pornography charges, according to the DuPage County Sheriff's Office. Lorenzo Malaga-Antemate, 33, of the 600 block of Burns Street, was charged with one felony count of possessing child pornography video and two felony counts of possessing child pornography images after an undercover investigation.

Police said they executed a search warrant of Malaga-Antemate's home Friday. Malaga-Antemate is accused of having child pornography files on his computer.

“Child pornography is not a victimless crime,” DuPage County State’s Attorney Robert Berlin said in a news release. Berlin added,“Year after year, hundreds of thousands of images are downloaded and shared over the internet with each image representing yet another innocent, young victim of child pornography."

Malaga-Antemate is currently being held in DuPage County Jail on $250,000 bond. He is set to appear in court again on Oct. 5.
