Christmas Parade, Night Of Lights To Return To Downtown Wheaton
The holiday parade was canceled in 2020, but is set to return to downtown Wheaton, along with a Night of Lights, which debuted last year.
WHEATON, IL — Illuminated floats and festive performers will brighten up downtown Wheaton again when the Christmas Parade returns Nov. 26. The Friday after Thanksgiving will also mark the return of the Night of Lights display, which debuted in Adams Park in 2020.
The Christmas Parade will step off at 6 p.m. at the corner of Wheaton and Wesley Avenues and make its way south to Front Street, where it will head east. The parade will wrap up at the intersection of Front and Cross Streets.
It's free to enter a float in the parade, but pre-registration is required. The deadline to register a float is Nov. 19. Email aseklecki@wheatonparks.org for more information.

After the parade on Nov. 26, hundreds of lights will be ceremoniously lit at Adams Park to herald the start of the Night of Lights display. The dazzling holiday lights showcase will be illuminated from dusk to 11 p.m. through Jan. 9.
Before you leave, head to the southeast corner of Adams Park to find a North Pole mailbox in the gazebo. Families can drop off letters to Santa Claus in the mailbox any time between Nov. 26 and Dec. 17.
