Church Makes Masks For Those In Need In DuPage County
St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church has made hundreds of masks for front line workers and community members amid the coronavirus crisis.

WHEATON, IL — St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church has a stock of fabrics they use for making quilts, but when the new coronavirus crisis hit, they decided to use the stash of fabrics to make masks for Edward Hospital, DuPage PADS, People's Resource Center and other members of the Wheaton community.
The church got to work cleaning and prepping the fabric for the masks. They then got and cut elastic before shifting responsibilities to a team of sewists.

Diana Lee, who serves on the church's council and Caring Board, told Patch she doesn't personally sew, but she emailed church members to see who does. Not long after, a group of 15 volunteers was assembled to helm the mask-making process.
Lee told Patch she appreciates the team of sewists and has enjoyed doing the mask drop-offs to help those in need, even while observing the required six feet of social distancing. Lee said if you're in need of a mask or would like to donate supplies, you can contact email Diana Lee.
