City Of Wheaton: Block Of Wheaton Avenue To Close For Sewer Repair

Starting Tuesday, Sept. 7, 2021, Wheaton Avenue from Union Avenue to Franklin Street will be temporarily closed to vehicle traffic while crews work to replace underground sewers. Due to the extent of this work, the City will need to shut down both lanes of traffic on this block while the project is underway. This closure is expected to last through the end of the day Friday, Sept. 10.

Signs will assist drivers in rerouting around this one-block closure. Residents who live on this block will continue to have access to their homes throughout this work. 

The City of Wheaton is in communication with District 200 so that Longfellow Elementary School staff and students receive notice of this temporary closure.
