City Of Wheaton: City Council To Confirm New City Clerk At Sept. 20 Council Meeting

The Wheaton City Council will confirm Andrea Rosedale for the position of City Clerk at the Sept. 20 City Council Meeting to fill the position of retiring City Clerk Sharon Barrett-Hagen.

The City Clerk serves as the executive assistant to the City Manager’s office and performs duties such as maintaining official City records, handling freedom of information requests, managing various licenses for businesses, and assisting with other administrative tasks.

 Andrea has served as an Administrative Assistant in the City’s Administrative and Human Resources Departments since December 2019. She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from Northern Illinois University and has extensive experience in customer service and office administration. Prior to working for the City she was a Special Education Teaching Assistant and Substitute Teacher at Emerson Elementary School, and served as a Team Lead in the Marketing Services Business Unit at The Allant Group.

The mayor, with the approval of the city council, shall appoint Andrea to position of City Clerk at the next City Council Meeting on Monday, Sept. 20 and she will begin her new position immediately during the meeting.
