Cops Believe At-Large Fraud Suspect Fled Wheaton

Police say the suspect likely fled the area and that the community is not in any danger.

WHEATON, IL --- Wheaton Police say they believe asking a fraud suspect they had been chasing on foot near Naperville Road and Elm Street Tuesday has fled the area. Government officials commented on their original Facebook post to say that the suspect was still at large, but they believe he has left the area.

Officials said members of the community were not in any danger. The incident is still under investigation.

Few details were available early Wednesday regarding the nature of the alleged fraud, but police advise residents to call 911 if they see the suspect.
