New Competitive Elements Added To Cosley Zoo Run For The Animals
Early bird registration is underway for this year's Cosley Zoo Run For the Animals.
WHEATON, IL — The Cosley Zoo Run for the Animals has added a new competitive element for racers in 2026. This year, participants can shoot for course record prizes and vie to see who raises the most funds on social media.
Early bird registration is underway for the annual race through April 29.
Fees for Run for the Animals participants are as follows:

- $20 per person for kids' 1/2 mile race through June 5
- $35 per person through April 29 for in-person and virtual 5K races
- $40 per person through April 29 for in-person and virtual 10K races
- $25 for kids' 1/2 mile race on race day
- $40 for 5K races April 30 through June 5; $45 on race day
- $45 for 10K races April 30 through June 5; $50 on race day
Packet pickup is scheduled for June 4 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., with the location to be announced. Racers can also pick up their packets on June 6, just before the race, between 6:30 a.m. and 7:15 a.m. at Memorial Park.
This year's race is scheduled for June 6 at 7:30 a.m.
