1 Killed In Train Vs. Pedestrian Incident In Wheaton

The Washington Street Metra crossing was closed for two hours Tuesday morning after a person was fatally hit by a train.

WHEATON, IL — A person was killed by a train at the Washington Street crossing in Wheaton Tuesday morning.

A Metra spokesperson told Patch the incident involved train 32, which was set to reach the College Avenue station around 8 a.m.

Train traffic resumed just before 10:30 a.m., according to Metra.
