Darling Needs A Foster Home by 4/11!
The Difference Between Being Abandoned in a Shelter and Being Rescued on 4/11 is A Foster Home!
Meet Darling!
Young Female Hound Mix
Darling was abandoned at a high kill shelter in Alabama that we work closely with. We were able to get her out of the shelter and into an amazing foster home in Alabama where she is waiting for her trip to Illinois and learning about love.
Her foster tells us that she is very sweet with humans... she will lick you to death. She is learning to sit. She is learning to share her people... It’s like she is starving for attention and afraid to be abandoned again. She is housebroken and loves everyone...adults and children.
Safe Haven Dog Rescue would like to bring her to Illinois on 4/11…
But she needs a foster home first!
She is also available for our Foster to Adopt program. This program allows you to be the family that greets her when she arrives in Illinois. Foster to Adopt families have the first option to adopt if you determine this is the pup right for you!
While you foster, we pay all expenses from vetting, to food and we provide a crate, leash, collars, and toys. Your family provides love (something they desperately need!) and a warm place for these pups until they find their forever homes. We also require that you have the ability to take these pups to routine veterinary visits at our participating vets. These vets are located in Wheaton, Naperville, and Elmhurst. Spay/Neuters are done in North Aurora.
Fostering is the most life giving thing you can do for a dog or puppy! It is a very rewarding experience that will make a huge impact on their life. By becoming a foster you are saving 2 lives - the animal you bring into your home while he or she waits to be adopted, and the animal who gets to take your foster’s place in the shelter.
