Daylight Savings Time Ends, Turn Back Clocks This Weekend
Daylight Savings Time ends at 2 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 5. Wheaton Fire Department urges residents to change smoke alarm batteries at that time

WHEATON, IL — This weekend, we gain an hour of sleep as Daylight Savings Time comes to an end. The Wheaton Fire Department has issued a reminder for residents to replace the batteries in their smoke alarms when they turn back their clocks.
Daylight Savings Time will officially end at 2 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 5. Don't forget to set your clocks back an hour to avoid being late for work on Monday!
It's also a good time to put new batteries in your home's smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors. Wheaton Fire Department notes that these batteries should be replaced every six months and the Daylight Savings Time change is a perfect way to remember to keep your home safe by making this small change.
